Homies πŸƒ

The journey will be difficult, ignorance will make it bitter.

But there is no turning back on our journey.

It is the season of light showers and thunderstorms.

The environment is something that does not change anyway.

I have a motivation, I have a catalyst.
Simply put, we are never alone. πŸ–€

Sigiriya

I went to see Sigiriya a few years ago. Of course it was an amazing creation. No one has yet figured out where that technology came from thousands of years ago. That is why I wanted to make this note about Sigiriya.

Sigiriya is an ancient rock forttess. It was bilt by king kasyapa. Sigiriya is world-famous for its frescoes. Foreign tourists who come to Sri Lanka never fail to visit Sigiriya. It is a place of archaeological and historical value.
We can see the graffiti or verses on the mirror wall. These verses had been written by the ancient visitors. These verses help us learn about the evolution and development of our language. There are nearly 700 such verses on this mirror wall. Although king Kassapa is regarded as a pesticide, he was a lover of art. That’s why he had created such a beautiful fortress with attractive paintings of beautiful ladies.

We have to climb up the rock along with a flight of steps through the mouth of a large carved lion. That’s why it is called Sinha Giri or sigiri. The rock is 600ft – in height, there are ruins of an ancient place on the top of the rock. There is also a moat around the rock. Sigiriya is regarded as the eighth wonder of the world.

Shramadana campaign

Last week there was a shramadana campaign in our village. It was organized by the youth club. The main objective of the campaign was to repair the road leading to our village. The road was in a dilapidated condition. It had not been repaired for a number of years. It was full of potholes.

By 7.00 a.m. nearly seventy-five members of the youth club gathered near the school. They were very enthusiastic. They had brought implements like mammaries, crowbars and spades. The youth service officer in the area too took part in this sharamadana campaingn. The members were divided into three groups. Each group was entrusted with a different task.

The first group cleared the jungle on either side of the road. They also cut down the overhanging branches of the trees. The second group filled the potholes with earth. They cleaned the culverts too. The third group cleaned the side drins on either side of the road.

Work was stopped for lunch at 1.00 p.m. when the groups stopped their work for lunch, most of the work entrusted to them were completed. Work was resumed at about 2.30 p.m. they were able to complete the entire work by 6.00 p.m.

After the work was over. The youth services officer gave a pep talk expressing the value of teamwork. This secretary of the youth club thanked all the members for their kind co-operation.

Maiya & Cricket

In fact, I'm a huge cricket fan. No wonder Sri Lanka is a country where cricket has become a craze. The whole world is talking about Sri Lanka because of cricket. Winning the 1996 World Cup marked the beginning of the golden age of cricket in Sri Lanka. I started watching cricket at a very young age in 2006. My father was also a good cricket fan. Later I was tempted to play cricket. I had heroes like Mahela, Sanga, Dilshan, Malinga, Rangana, Murali, Angie, Kule and all the other cricketers.

Out of love for them, I called them by their short names. My favorite cricketer is Mahela Jayawardene. Mahela is affectionately known as "Maiya" by the national team. Last year, his name was added to the list of the greatest cricketers the world has ever seen. he is one of the most talented right-handed batsmen in the world. He was a big winner for Sri Lanka for 17 years.I like "Maiya's" personality and his majesty. Mahela Jayawardena is a real gentleman. That is why he was even awarded the Most Vital Athlete of the Year award I will never forget the day Mahela retired from cricket. The last time he came to the stadium, tears welled up in my eyes.I have a lot of respect not only for Mahela but for all the other players. We cannot say that they are dedicated and win the competitions and bring happiness to our hearts.

Cricket is not just a game to me, it's something that has become ingrained in life Cricket is not just a game, cricket is a religion for our people Despite tears in our eyes when we lost, the whole of Sri Lanka is waiting for our colonialists to rise up again and win.

Kanthale diaries

Just the other day I was able to make another beautiful visit to Kantale, the hometown of my university friend Prabath  Several other friends from our campus joined us. I reached Kantale town after a long bus journey from 8 am to 1 pm. The first day Prabhat took us to a paddy field in the middle of a jungle. We spent the night in a hut in that paddy field. Our dinner consisted of fresh corn and peanuts from the same village. There was also meat, coconut bread, fruit and much more. We sang and lit up the night. Spending the night in a place like that was a wonderful experience.

The next morning we got up, ate and went to bathe in the Kantale lake. We spent the evening by the lake.Kantale lake is very big. A large area is nourished by that lake. Not only that, I feel very relaxed while sitting on the lake floor.

We had the same fun that day and the next morning we headed back home. Many thanks to Prabhat and his brother for their hospitality. We were treated very highly.

The teardropπŸ€

There is the life of a poet

Possesses excruciating pain
So poets die
With a smiling face ...

Love is a feeling.

A bond,
When there is a break
There is a taste

So mydear,
When caught in a drought and broken
Love raindrops will look beautiful too.
Be careful, Storms will come
with the rain of love.

The Breeze

My school is Matugama c.w.w kannangara Central College. My school held an annual concert. That concert was a turning point in my life. Because it improved my inclination towards music a lot. This concert helped me a lot to have a good experience and to improve my singing skills. The concert in 2016 was the first time I had a solo performance.

The breeze 2016
My first peformance at breeze

It's hard for me to put into words the feeling I had when I got on stage that day. An audience of about 3,000 people came to see the concert that day. My friends and I were a little proud when my friends shouted my name and cheered. That sound still haunts me. It's a wonderful memory in my life

For about a month, a group of talented students and a group of dignitaries have been practicing and getting ready for the concert. To me that team is like a family. I still remember the twists and turns that my friends and I did together during training, and I still feel a little sad that I would have to go back to that time.

The former team was amazing and the dedication of everyone made every concert a great success. I was also a part of the concert until I left school. I had the opportunity to perform as a singer in all three years, 2016, 2017 and 2018. I consider it a great privilege

Mr.Chandima Nishantha

am so thankful to dear Sir Chandima Nishantha, who trained and selected me for this concert, to my school music teacher. He is the pilot of this concert. For me, however, this is not really just a concert. It's a big bond beyond that. I think this is enough

.

Sorry, I forgot to mention the name of the concert.

The breeze live in concert.
